Jesus Christ Ministries International School of Ministry was established in 2010. Presently, this ministry is still in the developmental stages. Listed below are courses that the school will offer. Ordained and lay ministers as well as members of the body are invited to register for the classes. Participants will receive a certificate after they have successfully completed their course(s). Jesus Christ Ministries International School of Ministry Courses:
1. Marriage and Counseling:
This course focuses on the characteristics of problem areas in courtship and marriage as well as solutions. It covers the social and economic problems of the American family, the relations of parents with children, and the relations between home and church. The course uses a case study approach.
*Marriage and Family
An introduction to general systems theory. Special attention is given to the history of marriage and family therapy and the basic theories of and models of family interaction. Implications of interactional patterns, functional and dysfunctional family systems, life cycle issues, and ethnicity are discussed.
2. Old & New Testament History:
*Old Testament Literature
This course gives a broad overview of the entire Old Testament demonstrating how each book fits into the whole story of redemption. All other Old Testament courses are based on this course.
*Old Testament Prophetic Books
This study of the last twelve books of the Old Testament shows the revelation of the will of God in their message, how they viewed their call, and the circumstances they faced.
*New Testament Epistles
This course gives an analysis and exposition of the books of Ephesians through Jude (except 1 and II Thessalonians) as the Gospel message is explained.
*New Testament Literature
This course gives a broad overview of the entire New Testament in the context of history, geography, and culture of its time. The chief events, characters, and teachings of each book will be studied in reaction to God’s ongoing plan.
3. Raising Kids God's Way:
An examination of the contemporary Christian family will be conducted. Biblical principles will be examined, along with a study of the whole and fragmented family within the church. The course will also examine the methods and programs of the church and their contribution to the Christian home, along with the resources and techniques available to parents. Intergenerational ministry will also be examined.

4. Music Appreciation:
A course designed to provide students with an overview of the historical church traditions (from Hebrew to contemporary) and to demonstrate the influence of these traditions on the music of the evangelical and Pentecostal church. This course is designed to introduce students to the varied styles and style periods throughout music history. An appreciation for variety and a finely tuned ear will be the results. This course will be a combination of reading, listening, writing, and singing exercises.
5. African-American Studies:
*History of Preaching in the Black Church
This course examines the history of black preaching in the African-American church. You will discover the unique approaches to the Bible, personal style, and the sermon. This study gives an understanding of the tradition of this style of preaching and its place in the modern day church.
6. English:
*English in Christian Perspective
Through readings, oral discussion, a journal and a paper, English majors are assisted in the integration of the various facets of the major in
relation to fundamental disciplinary concepts and overarching philosophical, theological and ethical concepts, guided by Christian perceptions of truth.

*English Grammar
This course will focus on the vocabulary, sentence structure, and developing styles of powerful writing and speaking. This prepares students for the writing skills needed throughout their academic career.

*English Composition
This composition course will equip students in the skills of written expression in the English language. It covers literary models of composition and affords practice in various forms of writing. Designed to develop clarity, correctness, and effectiveness in written expression, the rules learned in English are put into practice by writing a course thesis.

7. Math:
*Basic Concepts of Mathematics
This course deals with practical mathematical issues in church administration and accounting. Using a general approach to basic math concepts students learn to apply math principles in such areas as statistical evolution and budgeting.
8. Science:
*Science and Scripture
Comparative study of related scientific and theological ideology with emphasis on areas of apparent discrepancy. Through lecture, research papers and guided class discussion, an attempt is made to demonstrate the necessity and possibility of harmonizing scientific and biblical truth. Not to be counted toward an endorsement for teacher certification in biology. Serves as the biology capstone and does not count as a biology elective. This course presents a general understanding of important scientific principles and concepts leading to an understanding of how science relates to daily life; it covers basic principles that govern the natural world, and the potential and limitations of science in explaining natural phenomena.
9. Language Arts:
*Foundations of Literature in English
This course offers students an opportunity to study the great authors of British literature from the 8th to the 18th century. It provides in depth study of masterworks that have influenced later literature written in English due to the writers’ linguistic contribution and artistic stature in the language.

10. Lecture Class on the Supernatural:
*Pentecostal Theology
This course will consider the historical and theological development of the Pentecostal movement, with a view to rehearsing past theological views as well as future systematic possibilities. Topics to be examined will be classical doctrines as well as issues of healing, the five-fold Gospel, the relationship with evangelicals and charismatic’s, the role of glossolalia and gifts of the Spirit.
